St. Vincent de Paul, Resurrection Conference

Who do we serve?

Howard County residents who come to us needing financial assistance and/or food. We typically serve 900-1,000 local families and individuals each year.

  • Drop off non-perishable food in the Link food cart. (CLICK HERE to see the standard food pantry list; or you sign up to get alerts when certain items are needed at "How can I help?"

  • Contribute to the St. Vincent de Paul poor boxes which are offered at least twice each month.

  • Donate usable clothing and small items in the St. Vincent de Paul donation bin outside the Pastoral Center.

  • Volunteer to work in the SVDP office.

 

What do we do?

Provide emergency assistance to families and individuals in need who come to the Church of the Resurrection for help, including:  

​

  • Funds to restore service when utilities will be or has been terminated.

  • Rental assistance for families facing eviction.

  • Emergency funds for medication needs.

  • Food packages as well as food gift cards when needed.

  • Referrals to other local organizations providing more assistance.

When do we do it?

Resurrection's St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) office is open:

  • Tuesdays, 10 am-12 pm

  • Wednesdays, 2-4 pm

  • Fridays, 10 am-12 pm

​

(We are closed on regular holidays or when the Pastoral Center is closed.)

Where do we serve?

The SVDP office is located in the Shehan Pastoral Center on the Church of the Resurrection campus.

Ministry history 

On September 25, 1997, the Resurrection Conference of SVDP was established to provide emergency assistance to Howard County residents who come to Church of the Resurrection for assistance.
