Children and Families
“Parents have the unique responsibility for the education of their children; they are the first educators… They teach by their witness of the Faith, through their values and attitudes, by their Christian example of love for Christ and his church.” National Directory for Catechesis 234-235
The Catholic Church has always proclaimed that parents are the first educators of their children. The Church of the Resurrection exists primarily to assist you in this mission to grow as Christians, live out the Baptismal promise and educate your children in the faith!

Nursery and Pre-K (Wee Praise)
Starting back up fall 2021 children 6months-3 years are welcome to come to nursery and children in Pre-K are welcome to join us for Wee-Praise during the 11:30 Mass. We provide this service to parents so that they can go to Mass and their child can still experience faith based activities.
New this Year: Starting in the fall we will also offer a Mommy and Me ministry for parents with small children to connect and grow in faith and community once a month on a weekday morning. If interested please contact Savannah Ackerman Sackerman@res-ec.org.
We also offer a social group called St. Zelie Ministry for moms with children age 0-12 in our pastorate. Please contact email@example.com for more information.
Kindergarten - 5th grade
We offer faith formation for children on Sundays from 2-3:30pm or 4:30-6pm. If neither of these times work for you please refer to our Home Program below.
We also offer several retreat options, Vacation Bible School over the summer, and fun experiences throughout the year for this age group!
For families with children K-8. Families learn more about the faith at home and then gather once a month for fun gatherings to engage in community and meet other families in our pastorate!
EDGE for Middle School Students
Teens in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades come and learn more about Jesus while connecting with their peers and engaging in fun content! Sessions include prayer, icebreakers, large group discussions, small group discussions, and service opportunities to explore the Catholic Faith.
New this year: EDGE will now be run out of St. Paul and all information for EDGE can be found by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
