Health Fair

The Health Fair promotes the physical and mental well-being of parishioners by bringing together a wide variety of health care professionals so the entire parish can learn more about community and regional resources, take advantage of free diagnostic screenings, and discuss the latest findings about prevention, treatment, fitness and nutrition. Representatives of area hospitals, health services and products, and numerous fields of traditional and complementary medicine are typically among the participants who come to discuss their services and answer questions. Also featured have been organizations dealing with senior living and hospice care, Meals on Wheels, the Howard County Office on Aging, and Howard County Fire and Rescue.

The Health Fair takes place annually in September on a Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Practitioners in a variety of health and medical fields are needed to provide information, expertise, and screenings. Volunteers are welcome to facilitate on the day of the event or recommend practitioners who might be interested in participating. We depend on and deeply appreciate the dedicated support we get every year from members of the Pastoral Council, the Fellowship Committee, and the Resurrection Liturgical Medical Alert Team, as well as parish staff and parishioners who contribute in-kind services.
